   Provision in a sales contract by which the buyer waives the right to complain if the property being sold is faulty: the buyer takes it "as is." The buyer must have the right to inspect the purchase and spot deficiencies. If the seller intentionally conceals defects, the contract can be cancelled. See caveat emptor; latent defect.
